SAMHI Privacy Statement

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy describes our current privacy practices with regard to information we collect when you or your computer interact with our Web site (http://www.SAMHI.ORG and all related servers which we operate).

SAMHI On-line will not store information on the identities of individual users. As part of our basic services we will not keep user names, e-mail addresses (unless sent to us as part of an e-mail message), phone numbers, or physical addresses.

If you wish to remain anonymous, it is important that you, the user, not include your name, e-mail address, phone number, etc. in messages. Such information may be viewed by others, may be stored by the system, and may be archived in system backups. As such, information you enter into this system should not be considered either confidential or secure.

Information entered into questionnaires may be saved and analyzed. While publications describing group results might be written, no individually identifiable responses would be included. Moreover, we will never ask for your name, address, phone number, or other identifying information.

Any user can read messages on the Bulletin board. However, to reply or to post new messages a user must submit a user ID and valid e-mail address to the system. The Mental Health Board will grant users a password on a case by case basis. These user IDs and all passwords are stored on computers at the CIN. They are accessible to both MHB and CIN staff. Thus you should not use a password on this system that you use on other systems. Nonetheless, neither the MHB nor CIN will share the stored information with any other individual or agency.

Information on the use patterns of SAMHI will also be saved (number of users, hits, pages, domain entry points, etc.) and may be analyzed for quality assurance and publication. Again, no individually identifiable information would be included in any publication without the specific written permission of the individual.
