Saint Louis Effort For AIDS mission is to provide education on the prevention of HIV infection and comprehensive support services for those affected by HIV/AIDS.

Saint Louis Effort For AIDS (EFA) is the city’s oldest AIDS service organization -- founded in 1985 by a concerned group of volunteers. These individuals wanted to make a difference in the lives of St. Louisans who were dying from complications of AIDS. In time, EFA evolved to address the enormous changes in the medical treatment of the disease as well as the needs of those living with HIV.

EFA continues to expand cutting-edge programming to respond to clients’ needs and to improve the overall quality of life for those infected with HIV. Equally important is the agency’s commitment to HIV education. Volunteers provide essential assistance in these outreach and prevention efforts.

Annually, EFA provides services and educational outreach to 75,000 individuals throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.
